When I became a mother, I was immediately aware of how little I understood my own body. And as a woman who has struggled with anxiety for many years, I know how it feels to experience the overwhelm, exhaustion, hormonal imbalances, and pressure to perform in my work, in motherhood and in my intimate partnership. And how good it feels to find lasting peace.
After discovering tools and techniques to facilitate my own healing and through years of studying psychology, Yoga, Ayurveda and reproductive health, I have supported hundreds of women on their journey to healing and trusting their bodies.
Now for the “official” stuff that’s supposed to explain why you should trust me with your body…and your life:
I hold advanced certifications in Vinyasa and Therapeutic Yoga with more that 1000 hours of training and 500 E-RYT and RPYT (registered prenatal yoga) designations through Yoga Alliance. I also hold Health Coach certifications through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Nicole Jardim’s Fix Your Period Women’s Hormone Health apprenticeship program, Birth and Postpartum doula training and certification through Mama Glow, and a childbirth education certification from Bebo Mia.
Before beginning a career in wellness and reproductive health, I obtained an undergraduate degree from Virginia State University in Journalism, a Masters degree from The George Washington University in Publishing, completed two years of Masters-level coursework in psychotherapy, and worked as a marketing executive, copywriter and corporate storyteller for various industries for 15 years.
